Doda (Jammu & Kashmir):

Ten Indian Army personnel lost their lives and ten others were injured after a military vehicle carrying troops for an operational deployment plunged into a deep gorge in Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir.

The accident occurred on the Bhaderwah–Chamba interstate road near Khanni Top while the vehicle was negotiating treacherous terrain amid adverse weather conditions. The area is known for its narrow roads and steep slopes, posing significant challenges to movement.

Rescue and evacuation operations were carried out promptly, and all injured personnel were shifted to medical facilities for further treatment.

The Indian Army paid tribute to the fallen soldiers, stating that all ranks salute the #Bravehearts who lost their lives in the tragic accident. The Army also expressed solidarity with the bereaved families and wished a speedy recovery to those injured.
