Kyrgyzstan: Prime Minister Narendra Modi, during his bilateral meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin, reiterated India’s consistent support for all efforts aimed at achieving peace in Ukraine.

Addressing Putin, PM Modi said India has repeatedly discussed the Ukraine conflict and stressed that every day spent in war pushes humanity backwards, while every step towards peace brings new hope and enthusiasm.

“We must move away from endless war towards an end to the war,” Modi said, underlining that an early and peaceful resolution to all issues is essential for the well-being of humanity.

Referring to India’s legacy of Mahatma Gandhi and Gautama Buddha, the Prime Minister said both traditions convey a common message — the path of peace.

PM Modi said India will continue to support all efforts for peace and expressed his intention to discuss the Ukraine conflict and related issues with President Putin during the bilateral talks.
