Davos: Telangana Minister for Information Technology and Industries, Duddilla Sridhar Babu, on Tuesday invited global industry leaders to invest in Telangana and become partners in its long-term growth vision, “Telangana Rising,” during the inauguration of the India Pavilion at the World Economic Forum (WEF) Annual Meeting in Davos.

Addressing top industrialists and global stakeholders, the Minister said Telangana has emerged as a national role model in Ease of Doing Business, offering a stable, policy-driven, and industry-friendly ecosystem. He urged international companies to leverage the State’s strengths and actively participate in its development journey.

Sridhar Babu said the Telangana government has set an ambitious target of increasing the State’s contribution to India’s GDP to 10 per cent by 2047. Emphasising a forward-looking approach, he said the government believes in “not waiting for the future, but building it” through planned strategies, institutional reforms, and progressive policies.

He revealed that a detailed roadmap has been prepared to scale Telangana’s economy to USD 3 trillion by 2047, with inputs from experts, industrial leaders, and citizens. The Vision Document focuses on high-growth sectors such as pharmaceuticals, life sciences, biotechnology, healthcare innovation, electronics, semiconductors, hardware manufacturing, IT and ITeS, aerospace and defence, textiles and apparel, food processing, agro-based industries, renewable energy, and green technologies.

Highlighting employment generation as a key priority, the Minister said Telangana aims to attract new industries while creating large-scale job opportunities for the youth. He noted that the State has mobilised investments worth nearly ₹2.5 lakh crore over the past two years and is committed to sustaining this momentum.

Sridhar Babu also announced that the Life Sciences Policy 2.0 and the Telangana AI Innovation Hub (TAIH) would be formally unveiled from the Davos platform, further strengthening Telangana’s global brand and positioning it as a preferred destination for next-generation industries.
