Hyderabad City Police Commissioner V.C. Sajjanar conducted a surprise inspection at the Police Outpost of Rajiv Gandhi International Airport in Shamshabad.

During the visit, the Commissioner reviewed station records, pending petitions, and enquiry processes. He directed officials to ensure the prompt disposal of public grievances and improve the efficiency of operations at the airport police unit.

Stressing the importance of security, he instructed officers to strengthen inter-state coordination and intensify anti-drug intelligence to prevent narcotics trafficking through the airport.

He also ordered strict action against unruly passengers, particularly in cases involving alcohol-related misconduct and harassment of women. The Commissioner advised coordination with the Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS) for blacklisting repeat offenders.

To enhance passenger support, he proposed setting up a dedicated Police Help Desk at the arrivals area. Officials were further instructed to maintain an updated database of habitual and inter-state offenders for better monitoring.

DCP Shamshabad P. Rajesh and other officers were present during the inspection.
