Hyderabad: The district administration has confirmed that there is no shortage of petrol, diesel, or LPG in the city, even as demand has surged in recent days due to panic buying.

District Collector Dr. Priyanka Ala chaired a meeting of the Energy Supply Monitoring Committee to review the availability and distribution of fuel across Hyderabad. During the meeting, officials assessed current stock levels, supply movement, and on-ground distribution systems.

The Collector directed concerned departments to ensure uninterrupted fuel supply and maintain close monitoring to prevent any disruptions.

Authorities have appealed to citizens not to believe in rumours or indulge in panic buying. Officials clarified that sufficient fuel stocks are available, and the recent spike in demand is driven by public anxiety rather than any actual shortage.

Residents have been advised to purchase fuel only as per their immediate needs and rely solely on official communication for updates.
