In a major crackdown on counterfeit industrial products, the Hyderabad City Police conducted raids on three shops in Raniganj and Secunderabad following a complaint from SKF.
Acting on specific inputs, the Mahankali Police Station seized 1,987 fake bearings along with 2,780 counterfeit packaging boxes during the operation. The raids were carried out at S V Tool & Bearing, Bearing International located in Ganji Complex, and A 2 Z Machinery Store.
Officials said the action was initiated after multiple customer complaints regarding the circulation of substandard and fake SKF products in the region.
Police have registered FIRs against the shop owners and launched an investigation to trace the supply chain behind the counterfeit bearings.
The crackdown highlights the authorities’ ongoing efforts to curb the sale of fake industrial products and protect consumers as well as genuine brands.
